Ana Jarén (Seville, 1985) began her professional career in the fashion communication industry in Madrid (Spain), the city where she currently lives. Being surrounded by so many designers, stylists and magazines, led her to develop her most creative side, starting her first works as an illustrator.
Over time, illustration became her way of life, her main job. She lived for some years in the United Kingdom and Belgium, taking advantage of all the stimuli that those countries offered her to develop her own style.
In her work, Ana captures the beauty of life, people and everyday activities, always with a sharp eye for small details. Many of the protagonists of her works are among the icons of popular domestic culture, in homely settings, living alongside everyday consumer products.
The world of feelings and emotions occupies a preferential place in her work, presenting the characters in evocative contexts that will be completed with the viewer's own experience.
Ana Jarén works mainly by hand, mixing techniques such as markers, pencils and acrylics, and she enjoys it as much as when she was a child. Her preferred medium is paper, although her work can also be found in murals and other formats.
A selection of her most iconic prints, which are perfect to decorate any home, are presented in her shop.
Ana has had the opportunity to illustrate for national and international media such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Glamour, The Washington Post (US), Glamour, Stylist (UK), Racquet Magazine (US), Real Simple (US), Goed Gevoel (BEL), among many others.
She is the author of the book Escritoras (Lumen, 2023), Amigas (Lunwerg, 2020), Astrology Colouring (LOM ART, 2022) and Girls Who Green the World (Delacorte Press, 2022). Also, she has illustrated numerous covers and books for international publishers.
She has illustrated products for brands such as Coordonné, La Cartuja de Sevilla, SKFK among many others.
Ana Jarén has also collaborated in advertising campaigns with brands such as Tanqueray, Just Eat, Lululemon, TCL, Springfield, FNAC and many more.
