Not suitable for dishwasher: these types of pans should never be washed in the dishwasher. This device is so aggressive with this material that it would quickly become insertable. When we use iron frying pans, before first use, it is recommended to perform the procedure called "curing" of the pan. It is an easy to perform procedure as we clean the pan well and prepare it for our first cook eliminating any type of residue that may have left since its manufacture. The "curing" of the iron pan is done by putting the pan on the heat source with a half finger of oil and leaving it to act until the oil is very hot without burning. Once this temperature point arrives, we let it rest until it takes room temperature and wash normally. Now yes, we have our pan ready for our first use. To wash the iron pan, we should use a mild scrubber and a little detergent. Please do not use metal scrubbers as they may scratch the surface of the pan. If there is leftover food left in the pan, we simply let it soften with a little water and then wash normally. Once cleaned, it is very important to dry the pan properly. It can be with the help of a dry cloth that we will go through both the surface and the base of the pan and we can finish with a little kitchen absorbent paper to make sure the pan is perfectly dry. Once this step is done, we pour a shot of oil and with the help of kitchen paper, we spread all over the pan.
